Woody Mann & David Mastrangelo
Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy
JULY 5- 9 2017
Join us for the 8th annual Tuscany Acoustic Guitar Workshop in beautiful historic Arezzo, Italy.
Participants come from all over the world to share the learning experience in a non- competitive community atmosphere.
FINGERSTYLE TECHNIQUES, REPERTOIRE AND PERFORMING
The site for the workshop is in the center of the historic Tuscany city of Arezzo. The workshop focuses on practical approaches for developing fingerstyle techniques, repertoire and gaining performing experience. The program is for all levels of players and covers a wide range of ideas and techniques including basic and syncopated picking, understanding the logic of the fretboard, improvising within a tune, open tunings, preparing a tune for performance and ways to develop your own sound. Davide and Woody will break down the complexities and teach new arrangements of folk, blues, gospel, ragtime, jazz, Celtic and contemporary repertoire. The relaxed and non-competitive atmosphere offers students a chance to perform in daily “Play and learn” sessions and focuses on each individuals musical needs. In addition to the scheduled morning and afternoon sessions, there will be “de-constructed” jam sessions on learning to play in groups and special presentations from renowned luthiers teaching practical set up knowledge every guitar player should know. This is our chance to work together and create a very special workshop based on our years of teaching and performing. Please feel free to email if you have any questions.
We look forward to welcoming everyone. Woody and David
